yes, a suit like the would require you to move you muscles, im not concerned about that, what I am worried about is the the muscles wont need too put in the same amount of effort they once did, just enough to make the suit react, so it wont burn up as much energy so you WILL get fat in my opinion, weak too, if you overuse a suit like that

Only if you used it ALL the time. If you didn't have legs to begin with, then at least you can walk, but wearing that 24/7/52 would be, well, really friggan' uncomfortable. What I can see is this sort of design being integrated into space suits, environmental hazard suits, and yes, military armored systems. There's plenty of commercial apps for this, but let's face it: They already have about 80% of Tribal battle armor right in front of them, just needs shielding and a booster.

I wonder, though, if this suit's functions were inverted, wouldn't it become a form of resistance training? I'm just thinking. Because being able to win in a fight thanks to the suit would be easy. But there would be problems with honor in this. Constant resistance training could make your real muscles stronger. Winning in a fight thanks to being augmented by the suit = cheap. Winning in a fight despite being resisted by the suit = leet.

That thing looks like something out of invader Zim it looks like the suit Zim wore in the episode hobo 13. Still I want to see him bench press a v8 engine or wrestle a 400lbs sumo wrestler in that thing. Though I don't see how they're going to sell that for 20K it looks expensive to make but if they could I want one.

Actually integrating tech like this into spacesuits would be a great idea as waring a spacesuit can be very tiring because you have to work against the pressure inside the suit. Even though astronauts are generally in very good physical condition they are often exhausted after an EVA. Could be a good first market for the technology with out having to resort to selling it to the military.

This is scary for two reasons. 1. it's called HAL!!!! As in 2001 murderous robot HAL. 2. the company developing it is called Cyberdine... as in Terminator Cyberdine. Be afraid!

this is great and americans also have an exoskeleton suite in the works for the military.
but one thing that annoyed me most in this video was how bad that guy was at trying to speak english... i kept wanting to help him say the damned words.... seriously it was like i wanted to say "get on with it man!"
