Jim Twomey before ...( 4 months ago by Noveltooner)
Jim Twomey before his legendary "Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" appearance. This was the final Goodson-Todman network series ever from New York (this particular episode originated from the CBS Broadcast Center). Although the 1972 syndie IGAS with Steve Allen originated from L.A., this series had original producer Gil Fates back at the helm and Bill Cullen was also still living in the New York area. CBS should have never aired this opposite "Happy Days." This version deserved a longer run.

By the way, bluelobster, thank you so much for this!! It's a great find. In case anyone's wondering why Pat Collins didn't stand up at the end of "Stars and Stripes Forever," it's because she had a broken foot.

All the research ...( 1 month ago by davemock)
All the research I've seen says that this version emanated from the Ed Sullivan Theater (CBS Studio 50) on Broadway between 53rd and 54th. The Broadcast Center, where I work, is on 57th between 10th and 11th. If they shot an episode at the Broadcast Center, that would be an interesting footnote.
All of the episodes ...( 1 month ago by Noveltooner)
All of the episodes (including this one) of this series were taped at the Broadcast Center. Only the last episode of the series (and the only on with Johnny Olsen announcing) was taped at the Ed Sullivan Theatre. Where the other episodes started after a teaser, "From the CBS Broadcast Center in New York, it's 'I've Got a Secret!', the last show started with Johnny Olsen saying, "From the CBS Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York, it's "I've Got a Secret!"
The final episode ...( 1 month ago by Noveltooner)
The final episode was also the only one to open without a teaser and with the show's Score Productions theme music. On the previous episodes the theme only appeared before commercial breaks and at the end of the episode.
