Official bilinguism for all of Belgium was rejected in 1930 by the French-speaking politicians. Before 1930n the only official language was French, although more than 60 percent of the population were Dutch-speaking "paria's". Since then the only official language in the Flemish region is Dutch, a nd in the Wallonian Region French.

And when an english-speaking comes to Flanders you be also served him in English. Because they are too (for the majority) unable to speak another language. But with them you find that normal. You look too many american "movies" I think...

When an English-speaker comes on a visit to Flanders, we will certainly try to speak English with him. When he comes to live in Flanders, we will expect him to learn Dutch. I happen to know a lot of english speakers who did this, and they all learned Dutch.
But not French-speakers who come to live in Flanders. They think they just own the place, and they should not adapt to the other people, but everybody should adapt to them!
That's called Wallonian arrogance over here.

For the Flemings separation is the way to go: no more money transfers (>12 billion euro's per year, biggest transfer per head in the world), no more Wallonian arrogance, no more veto's of any proposal made by the Flemish majority.
Flanders has nothing to gain from Belgium, it always has to give this, give that, pay this, pay that,... The thanks that we get for this generosity is our Wallonian "friends" blocking any change for fear of losing their unjust priviliges (and calling us nazi's)

As I said, it's a fucking law for them to learn dutch. They don't, noone cares. What does this have to do with "omg! french is a world language!"?
Also, English and Chinese are world languages, french doesn't even come close. Yet I don't see them learning english and/or chinese. They just stick to their idiotic language. Walloons don't care because they're pretty much all too lazy to learn anything. the French don't care because well, they're just chauvinists. I like that more then lazy.

during both world wars 80 percent off the soldiers were flemish, but all officers were french speaking. In fact many flemish were executed during the war for disobaing orders simply because they didn't understood them. then after the wars we build a tower symboling peace and respect for the flemish soldiers (ijzertoren). This tower mysteriously blew itself up (there was never an investigation who blew it up) so we build an other one.

an excuse often used by the walloon is "we helped you when you were poor". yes we were honoured that we could work in your mines, that we in flanders had to work in terrible conditions (child labor etc.) (see Daens) police spoke french, all authoroty was french. and when flanders finally got richer then wallonia they invented something as social security "solidarity".
