Why does Tim Hardaway hate Gay people? Is it ALL Gay people or just some, surely he doesn't hate Lesbians, that's Un-American!
To be absolutely fair, Tim Hardaway HAS apologized in a STATEMENT issued through his AGENT he said, "As an African-American, I know all too well the negative thoughts and feelings hatred and bigotry cause," "I regret and apologize for the statements that I made that have certainly caused the same kinds of feelings and reactions." "I especially apologize to my fans, friends and family in Miami and Chicago. I am committed to examining my feelings and will recognize, appreciate and respect the differences among people in our society," he said. "I regret any embarrassment I have caused the league on the eve of one of their greatest annual events."

Are you watching Game Show Network? LOL ! I LOVE 'MatchGame' with Gene Rayburn, that Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly crack me up! Something came to me LanternLounge70, as I read your words, "The great majority of gays are quite decent people'. I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck that the ratio of 'decent' gay person, to 'foolish jerk' gay person, is probably the same statistical breakdown as you'd find in any group of human beings. That's reassuring.

Are gays the last group for society to hate? Hating gays is actually pretty new. Up 'til recently most societies didn't even think about it. The hate list is a long one: Women, hispanics, elderly, asians, blacks, irish, poles, muslims, christians, homosexuals, etc.
Chances are you're on someone's hate list.
That way we don't have to focus on what REALLY matters as society circles the drain.
If you don't like gays... then don't date the same sex.

Excellent points. I like Ron Paul personally and I think that he is spot on with his foreign policy. The problem that I have with Ron Paul is that he has a horrible domestic policies. He would trash children's health care coverage, Social Security, Medicaid, because philosophically he simply and honestly doesn't think that it's any of Government's business. He thinks that Roe v Wade should be overturned and sent back to the States. I do respect his honesty.

I agree. It seems to me that the pickins' for 2008 are downright sickeningly dismal. Ron Paul is the only candidate that even comes REMOTELY close to my beliefs.
I'll tell you what though, after seeing the nerd who helped design the new voting machines testify in front of congress and say that the vote is already set to be altered remotely "49%-51%".... well...

Do you have any gay friends or relatives? I'm really trying understand where this hatred comes from? I've known guys who were molested as kids by gay men, it's understandable if someone hated gay men, if they'd been molested or something. I have to have a really good reason to hate somebody.

Most of this irrational fear of the "other." There is also the unfair, but understandable connection in the minds of some between molestation and homosexuality. If some one has been molested, or has heard about someone being molested, that is a scary thing. When you think about what happens in U.S. prisons, the assaults and rapes, you can see how straight men would have a real fear of getting raped or being forced to do homosexual acts while in prison. That's my take on it.
