Yeah, it was a movie of comet McNaught taken from space by the SOHO spacecraft.

Thank you! It would be great to actually go to space and listen to trippy space music. :)

The Universe is either infinite or "almost infinite" to us. So even if there were almost no chance of life, the Universe is so huge that this would still mean that there is a lot of life - maybe just extremely distant from us. But I agree that life is incredibly, incredibly rare. Humans should treat it like it is.
Yes I missed McNaught because of clouds. I saw Hale-Bopp, too. Missed Haley's, maybe next time. Oh, wait. Nevermind.

i am really fascinated by the universe
Same here! It's the only way to be!

But I'm serious. Comet McNaught really is a bagel! It's not dust and gasses trailing off of it, it's sesame seads, onion flakes, and vaporized cream cheese.

Since all stars, and planets normally spin counter-clockwise, that means that THEY'RE ALL LEFT-HANDED!!! That is, so to speak. Same with moons. Venus would pretty much be the only right-handed one.

There's no need to wait. If you look at the stars and enjoy it, then you're an astronomer! There's a guy named Benjamin Oppenheimer who was publishing serious astronomy papers when he was 16. If you don't have a telescope a great and cheap way to start out is with binoculars. Type "binocular astronomy" into Google for more info. Many comets have been discovered with binoculars.(hope I'm not telling you something you already know)

Well that all depends on your perspective.. If you were looking at the sun from the north pole, it would appear to be spinning in one direction, but if you look at it from the south pole, it would be spinning in the other. Which way is clockwise again?

Either
1. You're lying, and that's a REAL comet;
or
2. You're not, and SOMEHOW you were able to put it in there, and make it so life-like.

Honestly, I didn't alter it at all. On October 30, 1972, NASA determined (using gas spectroscopy) that all comets are made of the frozen remnants of yummy New York style bagels. Someone, maybe God, left the freezer door open. The bagels dropped out of the freezer and fell into orbit around the Sun. When they come closest to the Sun in their orbits, they heat up and start to smell really, really tasty.
Well, I actually ...( 5 months ago by CrazyPianist122792)
Well, I actually have a contradiction to this last remark I've just made. A planet, or star, is left-handed if it spins counter-clockwise at the north, and the opposite at the south. It really doesn't have anything to do with--what was your term again?--oh, yeah--PERSPECTIVE at all.

Nice thought! There are people with a condition known as synesthesia. Some synesthetics experience certain visual cues as vision AND sound (lucky bastards). So it is definitely possible that someone on Earth really does hear music when they look at the sky. Check out the Wikipedia article on synesthesia, it's very interesting stuff. BTW, I knew a woman who claimed to be synesthetic and said she got orgasms from reading physics textbooks. I kid you not.
