Boy George performing Whether They Like It Or Not with MC Kinky on drums, this was orginally shown on ZDF, German T.V in the late 1980's. George looks happy in this performance and the song has a great bass line. This clip comes from one of my rare DVD's.

This was released as a single in Europe. In fact, this version was a remix for radio and clubs. Apparently, George claimed once that he thought this was the worst song he ever recorded.

I love it, Whether George LIkes it or NOT!
I think he should put it into his new shows, 2nd song after the opening, in the U.S. people would be floored. I'm sure this is a REALLY good idea...

Believe me, I would absolutely love for that to happen. Unfortunately, if you read his autobiography Take It Like A Man, he said he was horrified by the results of this, as well as all his other Teddy Riley-produced songs. In fact, he initially begged his record company to keep the songs off what became Tense Nervous Headache and later High Hat.

I honestly like his more bouncy stuff. The stuff he tended to hate recording like "Live My Life" from the Hiding Out soundtrack, this song, "Don't Take My Mind On A Trip", and the other Teddy Riley songs. In many ways, this would have been a better follow-up to "Trip" in America than "You Found Another Guy", which was a good song, but too downbeat and the most obvious New Jack Swing sounding of the songs with Riley.

I was hoping that they would have released this song in America...but Virgin thought it was too "cocky"...can you imagine?? listen to other singers today and their filthy lyrics...but your right I did hear that he did not like this song much...but I think it is because Virgin took too much control over who and how it was produced..teddy riley..but it is hot!
