They did. When afghanistan was invaded by the USSR the UK and US sent military advisors and weapons like Stinger missles to the taliban and other afghan groups to help against the russians. Except they now shoot us instead. Also there is evidence of groups in the US funding the IRA

It just irritates me when people get so caught up in making emotional accusations and completely ignore the stuff their own side has done, or just blindly shout how their countries military is great. It's like with Iran now - makes me laugh how detached from reality some of the government seem when talking about the USA's capabilities.
