Recorded at the second show the day after his dad had died. Their relationship was complicated hence the final lines of 'Communication, communication' and 'Talk to each other'. Bono somehow keeps it together but his voices cracks a couple of times. You can tell the rest of the band is just completely surrounding him and put in the best performance of this song I've heard or seen. Whatever you think of U2 this is one of the best live rock performances I've ever seen of a single number.

when the "All That You Can't Leave Behind" was out I bought it and this song captured me immediately... years after I knew the tender feeling of the father-child love (the same child as the "Boy" one, to state...) there is a video in wich you can see a tear rolling down along Bono's face: I don't agree with critics, I believe in him. Thanks for the tears you made me cry too (and for my very special dream too, very similar to yours... ) I apologize. H
