One of the things I most admire (and always have) about David Hayter is his loyalty to the Metal Gear Solid series. He could have easily said "no way" to Snake Eater when ask to come back and voice Big Boss. He had written the screenplays for X-Men and X-2 which were both huge hits. He had "Watchmen", "Iron Man", and "Black Widow" all lined up as future projects but, he cared enough about the game and its fans to come back again and again.
I decided to do this letter to David Hayter instead of a regular snail mail letter...thought it would be more interesting. Probably the last thing someone like me should do since I tend to freeze in front of cameras. Sorry for the stiff delivery of the video. I almost didn't finish it when I was
watching some of it in play back but, I had already started so... EDIT: As much as I love hearing about how ugly my face is, all comments like that will be immediately deleted. Don't waste the keystrokes. To the rest of you, thankies for the positive feedback and special thanks to David Hayter for

I remember having read somewhere that Solid Snake was named after David Bowman, the main character in 2001: A Space Odyssey. This was also why Dr. "Otacon" Emmerich's first name is Hal, named after the HAL 9000 computer in the same story.
