With a 10-week run on the charts - and 3 of them at the top,ironically from Feb 1st - there is a good chance that you did remember a different TOTP performance,which just won't resurface on UKGold or TOTP2.(You'll be surprised how GOOD your memory is!)

Hey man i`ve just got in turned on the pc and got your message here.Yeah i mean i didn`t remember the presenter when the band started playing just the angle from the other side,not a Pilot fan particulary,but as you said there were other film shots of them.I`m 42 so thats unfortunately why i remember them,i guess you are mate??

I think I was so traumatised by seeing Sparks in 73 that I never fully recovered - all that trauma as a child.I don';t know that i ever remember seeing them.I do recall Ken Booth 'everything I own',but despite buying many a 45 from that era,I dont remember a lot of TOTP.Strange eh?

If this was out in 1975,i must have been 5.I distintly remember hearing this song playing on the radio in my dads car.I remember been quite young and loving the song.All these years later i managed to get hold of the single of this and Magic,another favourite.

Probably THE song of my childhood. I was 8 and this just pressed all the right buttons for me at the time. I remember being hugely impressed with Ian Bairnson's double-necked guitar. The song reminds me of childhood romances and having crushes on girls at my school. As I've got older I've come to really appreciate the singing, the bass line and the guitar fills.

I heard this on the 70's Shack a few weeks ago on KLUV 98.7 FM Dallas Tx.
I was on my way to my motel around 1am on a Saturday night. This song really took me back to when I was a skinny 17 year old kid working as a kitchen helper in 1975 at my Aunts "Wards Town and Country Dinner House" Licking Mo. now ong,long,gone. This is an awesome song.

My son loved this song, he was five years old , he will be so embarrased but well it was loveley he had a lisp back then so he sang "thsick and tired you been hanging round me" happy family memories of a great pop song.
