This movie illustrates why I WILL NEVER buy from ANYBODY over the phone unless I'm the one making the call. I've been burned by telemarketing scum before, so I've grown balls of steel. they are scum. But you are wrong to "destroy" them. You should just hang up the first time, and then ask them to put you on the "do not call" list. One of my friends was a former telemarketer, and one of the things they want is someone who gets pissed at them. Because as long as your talking to them, there's a chance you might get stupid and buy.

Except that it does. People get scammed all the time. I've spent some time working in telemarketing and one of my colleagues was exactly like this guy over the phone and made $1000 in a week one week. He knew exactly how to pull all the right strings and get people excited on a cold call. I couldn't bring myself to be that slimy though!
