For some reason Command and COnquer series still cant convince me...they have so many options to make the game extremely tactical, the weapons they design are really nice. But the game is mostly rush and rush and 0 tactical plan. 50 seconds after starting the game you already have enemy units shooting your base or the advise of enemy units near.

command and counqer is fast paced game, thats why there are so called "rush tactics"

Yes, thats true, The campaign mode gives and really good the option to plan a strategy or several ones.
But once you beat campaigns you have no more choice than to play skirmish (if i dont spelled it wrong) where tactics could be awesome for the total freedom of using the entire map, and tehre you have not so many chances to do it.
But yes, the campaigns can be very tactical, and in fact you enjoy those. Dont know why they dont give that chance in other modes. Online forget about it.

Of course, the vids were cheesy, the aircraft are way overpowered (especially the Scrin aircraft), infantry are really discouraged in C&C3, most of the missions can be beaten by building like 8 aircraft, never enough tiberium, building garrisons are completely pointless(cause of grenadiers and flamers), etc. Yeah, I agree. C&C3 has a lot of issues but the positive aspects of game save it from becoming a total disaster. Actually it saves it quite excellently.
