George Barris, like Bert Stern: another user and prick. Took THOUSANDS of pics of MM, then she died and he has published every one, without careful editing or retouching Marilyn would have insisted on--that bruise, and her gallbladder scar. MM would not have approved the release of many Barris shots. Shame!

I prefer to remember her as a success story, and not a tragedy. Even though this is toward the end of her life, she seems very positive, and liberated.

sorry but with her white hair she looks like a fragile elderly woman...i dont mean it in a mean way, i just think her abuse of alcohol and drugs later on in life made her less attractive, although not less charismatic, than she was in earlier life. her charisma always stayed with her...

Yeah but I think he did it because he found her beautiful even with those things and he knew how fond the world was of seeing her! i think it's great that he showed her as she was...we will find her beautiful no matter what its not because she thought that we wouldn't (insecurity) that he should keep the world from seeing her! who would wanna retouch marilyn??! thank god he captured her as she was.i just wish she had been photographed even more in everyday life. she is just fascinating!

REMEMBER: This was natural lighting...nothing retouched..fake. Her hair was NOT white..it was the "it" colour of the time-->platinum blonde..very harsh on even the most delicate skin. All the pics you have seen of her tOok hours of prep time,makeup,lighting which all made her hair lOok right. Normas beauty was there no matter what. In our 20's is easy to lOok perfect......We make plans....Life happens......tc
