Iran is an excuse. The main goal here is to keep moslems down by the old "divide and conquer" and taking away what ever profit they are making from high oil prices. The arab gulf countries oil infrastructure has made into one of pillars of US economy. Those so called leaders of arab world are in reality agents of western corporations and military industrial complex.. and above all, a large portion of this profit is donated to Israel to keep the military edge over these same countries

I really admire you because you are capable of seeing beyond your own personal differences with the Iranian leaders. Its ok for us to hold different opinions, but we really need to be united on this one and not feed the war machinery which needs as many justifications for an intervention as possible.

Americans just don't realize how people see them throughout the World. Violence brings violence. The current USA government is hated and it reflects directly to the people. The USA needs an Obama to start healing the relationship with other countries before something bigger than 9/11 happens.

I don't believe they have the balls to attack Iran. Iran is totally different than Iraq: strong culture, smart people, solidarity between different ethnic groups, good organized and extensive infrastructure..
The American gov. knows it better than you and I!! I hope Obama wins. Today he said in the senate that the USA can't restore peace without direct help from Iran. He said: When Iraq can live in good neighborhood with Iran, why shouldn't we co-operate with them. Vote 4 OBAMA!

I doubt anyone in his right mind would deny the fact that attacking Iran would be a complete irrationality, but you do seem to forget all wars the US fights go against their interests, like the Iraq war which has shown the US weaknesses. These war have nothing of reasonable or rational, they are just fought for the interests of others and dont care at all about the consequences for the attack dog used.

I have a video about a Persepolis scene. I dont like Satrapi: the media presents her as if her productions came from a sincere Iranian just talking from a personal perspective, but when you have got into depth with the Iranian situation, the Iranian culture and its people there, quite frankly its hard not to see it as more ideological propaganda. Even as a non Muslim Chilean, it has broken my heart to see her doing things like portraying Iran's heroes as a bunch of guys going for 72 virgins.

I agree with you. Precisely because the American constitution prescribes not to police the world it is so admirable. If Americans would just stick to it. If Iranians taught me something it is that the American people has nothing to do with the corrupt leaders of that country. When they chant "Marg bar Amerika" (Down with America, not Death to America as the media would say), they do so in the hope that the American people becomes free from those rogue politicians serving rogue regimes.
