The quote is from the movie "The Good Shepherd" in relation to a British intelligence operative asking an American operative to do away with another compromised British agent. My point is, Fleet Street is probably the most vicious press in the world, so the British are not immune to ruining someone. Orson is definitely a sad case, but he was as much his own enemy as was anyone else. I will say that the initial appreciation of Kane did come from the UK, in the Sight and Sound poll.
