If you actually realized what people bought with their food stamps, you would be ashamed that you are trying to promote others to apply and take money away from those of us that are working. Before you start promoting others to get food stamps, you should go to grocery stores and do some research. You would be suprised at how widespread the abuse of the food stamp program is.

Actually, most people that receive food stamps abuse the privilege of having them. I work at agrocery store so I see what is purchased with food stamps cards, mostly junk food, also expensive steak and shrimp that people who work for their money can't even afford to buy. Then, they use THEIR money to turn around and buy beer and cigarrettes after using their food stamps to pay for their groceries!! Also, hardly any of the people who have food stamp cards are elderly or disabled, just lazy.

Don't get me wrong, I think we should definitely help those who CANNOT help themselves, not those who can, but just choose not to! We should keep the food stamp program, but it should be completely redone and they should screen their recepients better.

I have seen it all with these scumbag freeloaders. From some whore purchasing a 27 dollar steak with them to some 400lb breeder buying $300 worth of junk. It's rediculous. I worked at a grocery store, so I could go on and on about these people. Get a fucking job and stop mooching off of the government.

My husband was in law school for three years and could not work we have two small children I only worked a few hours a week since we felt it not in our childrens best interest to be raises in a daycare. We were on the food stamps the whole three years. Now just a few years out of school he makes six figures and we have more than payed back the money we used. I am very thankful for the time we had the food stamps but I do think it is abused too much

When the do-gooders try to help people apply for food stamps, they seem to always forget to warn them that if you are able-bodied and got no child under 18 living in your house, you can be banned from getting food stamps for 3 years if your location is not waving the food stamp work requirements.

Most of the mothers do seem to have a job, but their wages are so low, and they got so many kids they qualify. Employers like Walmart like to hire them. As long as they meet their work requirements they don't mind working 30 hours a week. It all gets made up by getting more food stamps. They don't care where the food money comes from. Working more hours wouldn't help their situation. They already have plenty of food.

Many mothers responsible mothers use food stamps wisely to feed their families. There are those that use them like one would use cash. With coupons, seeking sales in stores, and making sure that they last until the next month. Not every parent should be demonized for being on food stamps. Not everyone on stamps buy junk, and are wasteful.

They won't spend it on milk, though. They'll use it for a little extra Little Debbie snack cakes or soda. REGULATE! or get rid of it altogether. I'm TIRED of working hard to put cola on the dinner tables of slackers.
