I certainly like both Slipknot and Celtic Frost. Although so far I have enjoyed all of Slipknot's work, I think that All Hope Is Gone really sums up their style. I'm looking forward to Triptykon's debut album since Monotheist is my favorite album from Celtic Frost.

1) Slipknot are mass-marketed, but stupid to say they are not heavy. It's trendy to complain about Slipknot. Remember that before you jump on the bandwagon. I never bothered even owning a copy of anything other than their first album, incidentally, and haven't bothered listening to most of the rest of their music, but I'm still not a sheep to follow the trend.
2) This sounds pretty doomy to me. I like Doom, I'm from Northern Europe ;-) Some of the start reminded me of Crowbar...

I was just showing that someone can be a fan or both bands. An earlier commenter did not believe that anyone could like both. There was also a mention of someone only liking Slipknot's early stuff. I wouldn't ever compare bands with CF, they are very experimental and have had a career unlike any band I can think of.
