Kudos to Taylor Hawkins. He didn't just manage to play an extremely hard song almost flawlessly; he's a very underrated drummer and should be pointed out more. Listen to some Foo Fighters songs, he's pretty much the classic rock drummer and he does very well.

Taylor was obviously excited, he played too fast. Not WAY too fast, but geddy struggled in the last bass solo. The solo is already crazy at regular tempo. Still, pretty sick job! I wish they had done this in Ottawa!

Look, the Foo Fighters are paying tribute to a stellar band. Taylor is not trying to out-do Neil, he is just playing with his heroes. After watching the VH1 "The Who, Rock Honors" where they brought out Gaz from "Supergrass" to sing "Bargain" it shows they that they are not afraid of being up-staged.

I can't believe Neil has sacrificed his own pain and time for Rush for over 30 years, even after the death of his wife and daughter, for the enjoyment of music fans everywhere. All right. No more dissing Taylor, Neil, Rush, or the Foos. Taylor's great, Neil's great, Rush's great, the Foo's are great. The important thing is that they all make great music, and seeing them play together was really cool.
