Disney's animators must have gotten lazy in the 70s - they use the exact same dance from Robin Hood between Little John and Lady Cluck for The Jungle Book between Baloo and King Louie. Nuts!

Compare Phoney King of England from Robin Hood to the dance in Snow White, Silly Song (or O De Lo Do De for some of you not so big Disney fans.) Almost everything is the same.

disney animators are known to do that on purpose just to see if anyone notices, they also like to stick characters from older movies into new ones. it's their little jokes.

Actually, they had to redraw everything anyways, so it would really cost the same wheter they used new stuff or not. It's really just paying homage to the last movie Walt Disney oversaw.

Disney makes stuff like this. It's like an easter egg, but they put old things to new movies and they don't think that ppl use them as a mark of a lazy work. They just think that is fun and exciting!

Well, as I recall, Robin Hood came after Jungle Book. It is interesting how they copied the movements for the most part, but added different touches. Little John and Baloo are pretty similar anyway, but it wouldn't do for Lady Cluck to dance like an orangutan, so she doesn't do the very ape-like slaps and such that King Louie does. Fascinating.

of course their almost exactly alike. you have any idea how hard, and time consuming it was to animate back then? theres also clips from Aristocats, and snowhite in that dance scene too :)

They reused the animation and the jungle book was released in 1967 but for the UK,
1968.

the actually re-used animation from Robin Hood in Robin Hood. Notice when Friar Tuck yells "He did it, he did it!" during the archery tournament, and then the Seize the Fat One showdown.

funny i noticed that as well. theres also a bit during the phoony scene where johns eyes go wiered that is also used in the jungle book during the baloo and king luoie dance

There's one from the chase scene in King Louie's palace place thingy and it looks exactly the same as in the film "the ichabod and Mr. Toad" (the mr. Toad segment)
And Disney isn't lazy! The people who use computers to do 2D animation are! LoL

Its understandable why they did this. Robin hood was a very low budget film, so they had to recycle some animation. Why they copied every movement and made it so obvious is beyond me. Its so blatantly obvious that thats baloo instead of Little John.
