I'd really like to see her dance without a plate of candles on her head... ;)BTW, many dancers wear heels so as to prevent lil' glass beads (from costuming) from embedding themselves in their feet, but some just do it b/c it enhances the body line.

I don't like heels because they are uncomfortable, because they throw off the natural weight distribution of the body, and over long term, are bad for a dancers feet, knees and back. I've had more than one doctor, fellow dancer, and even chiropractor tell me that, let alone my personal experience. And I partly don't want to dance in heels because of the association people still make with bellydancers to strippers. I may wear a dance shoe w/a low heel, but that's about it.

I think you are right about the heels in a way that is bad for you back and knees.I dont agreed about the rest, heels are made to short dancers or to make them look taller, and thats it.

I dont like when the belly dancers use heels for performing, they are a dance sandals specially for belly dance, they look more proper. BTW I don't like her performance because at the beggining she is dancing to fast, and even that she has the plate of candels in her head it takes off the charm and the magic of the performance...
