This is great! That scene with the BBQ in the trailer would be fun to watch. In the movie he does say he'll fix the BBQ, so it must have happened early on.

How lucky is Tom Hanks to have Henry Winkler all over him!! Even if there was a chance that I would be killed, I'd still willingly roll about the back of the ambulance with Henry Gibson. I now have very naughty thoughts after hearing that cop tell Henry Gibson to spread them!Is it just me, or do the actors look as though they aren't even trying to act?! When Henry Gibson is telling them why he did it, he seems to be hamming it up. He is still lovely though, he keeps this 22 year old very happy!!

This is one of my favorite comedies, I'm not sure how many times I've seen it, but quite a few. I love to watch it in the summer. Thanks so much for uploading this, It's very interesting! I must say the ending they went with is 100 times better than this one and much more climactic. Art's lonely walk at the end is cool though.

never knew about this ending, the one they used was far superior but this still holds the comic style (Art breaking their street lamp. this film is the best and i will never get bored of it...YO Rumsfield!!!!!

Yes, But it was probably filmed first as a test. There are parts scripted in it that are in the final ending, Such as when Art makes an ass out of himself and when Ricky says "I love this street"

Yeah, you need the big zany Hollywood car crash ending. I mean we've already had the pylon explode, and the house blown to smithereens. Too much of an anti-climax this way. An underrated gem. And I'm glad the British finally got round to putting the clip of Chainsaw Massacre and Exorcist back in.
