They would have thought this was pure jive...and Ray would have been pissed...but if people enjoy it...they're gone...maybe its OK?
I worked on a sound crew that did a show with Ray,just a few years ago, and he was very strict...we could only mic his vocals in a 5000 seat hall! No other mics! And no adjustments after sound check. Of course he sounded great. May he rest in peace.
