The original 16mm Jimi footage was shot by Duff Hendrickson, for an art film (hence the overlapping images), and was originally silent. I synced the sound, and added some old footage of Maui to fill up the song. Hope you enjoyed it. Mike Parker

Jimi is playing in front of 800 people in Makawao, upcountry Maui, 30 days before his death- Super 8 footage Oahu and Waikiki surf scene in the 40's. Jimi played the Waikiki Shell & Blaisdell- there's a story he went down to Vitoria St. Park in Honolulu (opp. the Academy of Art) and told everyone to come down and rocked out. I think this could be exaggerated version of Shell show - he told everyone from the first night to come back the following night for free. Thanks for posting it!
