A lot of ppl seem 2 b complaining about this ending but I kinda like it. As a child, I always wondered what it looked like 2 see that car really go off the edge cuz the original version paused mid air @ the end. I got 2 c what happened 2 the car, the way it flipped over & disappeared behind a mountain. I hate the music though. The other song was better.

Their "Vanishing Point ending".And we get to see them drive off into the sunset,in spirit...Maybe that's what Ridley was worried about.People not getting that they're driving away in spirit.That Love lasts Forever stuff.Even in a T-Bird.

Original ending is much better. This one is much more depressing. Also we'd have morons going around asking did they really survive the drive off the 200 foot tall cliff. The original ending fits the spirit of the film and in a strange way is uplifting.

This ending is so ridiculous! So glad they decided not to stick with it. The original made me cry. In fact, the first time I watched the movie, I cried for like 20 minutes afterward.
