Here is another early 8mm film production of mine. It took several weeks to film and is approx 150' long. Since my hero at the time was master pie-thrower Soupy Sales, this slapstick film deals with crazy situations that usually end up with a pie in the face. As my "fame" for making pie throwing films grew, I had no problems getting new recruits. I certainly lined up a large group of my buddies to be in this particular film: John Hopkins, George Eng, Robert Beck, and newcomers Steve Kahn, Steve Worona, Robert Harding and Jon Moselle. Even my Mom came aboard!
The film is all short skits, blackouts and slapstick. The film has few edits but several new elements have been added and the music is newly recorded for YouTube.
I hope you enjoy my foolishness from over
46 years ago!
Filmed: March 1962 in Poughkeepsie, NY

In retrospect, I believe you're right. I wanted to go to LA & be a filmmaker since I was 12. All kinds of things happened & it never came to be. Oh well...too late now.

The choice of music makes this film enjoyable. The time that
´s passed adds joyful nostalgy. Adding it to my favorites. Does / did your camera have a zoom lens - as the shot of your mum indicates?

No zoom lens. Shot with a Kodak Brownie II std 8mm camera. My first camera with a zoom lens came about 3 yrs later. And Thanks!, I did try to sync the music to the action when transferred this film to YouTube.

Hey...you are correct! That must have been filmed with my 2nd movie camera - a Kodak Zoom camera! How observant!! Yes, real cream used in early films. I used shaving cream in later films.
