The Dixie Hummingbirds have symbolized music greatness over their nine-decade career as the foremost gospel quartet. Still led by front man Ira Tucker, the "Birds" celebrate 80 years of show business in 2008.
The Huff Singers, a traditional gospel group infused with a soul-stirring sound, are led by original member John Huff. They have performed with many of the great quartets, including the Dixie Hummingbirds, Mighty Clouds of Joy and Swan Silvertones. Perform live at the Sister Rosetta Tharpe Benefi

That is a prime example of what happens when you loose original memebers of a group and there is no one to replace them. The sound wasn't there and the lead vocal surely wasn't there. You could tell Mr. Tucker wasn't there. Another Legend Gone to be with the Lord. The Huff singers are a local group from Philadelphia.
