Interesting band that sound modern and of their time while also reminding me of the past. It's classic indie pop like it used to sound 20 years ago. This track reminds me of Ultra Vivid Scene, as did The Velvet Cell, which is great too. Album tracks are darker and more of a Slint/Mogwai persuasion.

warp need to stop spending their time on this indie tosh, and stick to finding truly talented electronic artists. maximo park was a rare gem, now stop trying to cash in on this british rock / indie sound!

In the end music is a matter of taste, of course. But warp has some great artists under license and Gravenhurst is one of them. By the way, I could chuck up when I see all that (mostly) cheap and nasty trash on the top 40 list. THAT is really creepy sh*t.

I love all the electronic stuff from Warp--been listening to, collecting, and following it from the start. I also grew up on bands like the Smiths and Catherine Wheel and I can't help comparing these guys somewhat to them. One can still enjoy the electronic stuff while listening to good rock. Warp made a good decision signing Gravenhurst.
