It doesn't make sense to me. Truth be told, I think our government, along with the rest of society, is in a scientifically and logically illiterate mindset. What's worse, is that many of the so called champions of reason and logic, are using the exact same illogical techniques alot of the pseudo-scientists are using, making the jobs of myself, Ray Hyman, Michael Shermer, and other truly logical skeptics considerably harder.

Yeah. Unfortunately, those of us with Asperger's Syndrome and autism have severe social deficits. The further down the spectrum you go, the worse those deficits get. My brother used to pee in the back alley in front of kids because he didn't know any better. He was 7 when he did that. (He and I are both aspies.)

James Randi has been trying for a long time to make psychics charged as frauds. However, their claims are so vague that they are not liable in a court decision. Just like other proponents of pseudoscience.
