if u look at the underlineafferimity of communism it is not that different from a democratic party . u could say that communism is a more open control (meaning that the parties control is more open ) democracy is a more seceretive control system (meaning that thei control is more secretive )

@SubatomicEukaryotes, Communism may be more identifiable as a controlling form of government, but I would say with confidence that it is simultaneously a very secretive form as well. In fact, I'm sure it is in the Communist Party of China's best interest to keep a lot of the controlling behind-the-scenes, as to reduce condemnation by foreign States. The last thing they need, as a quickly growing world power with diminishing resources, is import/export reduction.
