For years now EMIRC has been working towards putting the HI State on the map. He has opened up for damn near every Hip Hop act that set foot in the Islands(Wu Tang Clan, De La Soul, The Roots, Common, Black Eyed Peas, Lootpack, Dilated Peoples, Yellowman, The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief). His first breakthrough occured in '99 when he appeared on the World Famous Wake Up Show with Sway & Tech, which broadcasted to over a million listeners worldwide. Alongside a Lyrical Juggernaught, Pharoah Monch, EMIRC(pronounced immerse) proceeded to spray with a freestyle that later appeared on the "Best of Wake Up Show Freestyles Volume 6"- Now Fast forward 5 years. With the new label off the ground (Flip The Bird Entertainment) and one album under his belt, the Hawaii based rapper is primed to re-introduce himself to the global audience. EMIRC's first single, "Honolulu"(the urban islander anthem) has recieved an unprecedented amount of rotation on Hawaii's commercial radio stations. It has reached .17 on the Heavyweights charts and has been heard on the airwaves in CA., NY.,SEA.,and as far as Australia.
