I'm all for Twilight. But 'low-life nerds who have nothing in their lives to do but pretend to act smart by reading about wizards' More like low-lifes who have nothing better to do than go around dissing other books and movies and yelling it out on YOUTUBE, for crying out loud. I love them both, they are great books. But i prefer vampires. so blah.

My two cents. Twilight? I don't like their literary vampires. But Harry Potter? Voldemort is like Hitler making wizards under totalitarian rule. Wizards that courageously stand up to him manifest Britain and the U.S. in WWII. Harry and friends are liberal-capitalists that believe in meritocracy. But Harry is NOT anti-facism, because facism is just an extreme version of capital liberalism-when Hermione is mocked for her "abolitionism" when she stands up for elves 'causeslaveryisthebasisofsociety

Frankly, I had help wording my thoughts from an article you can easily find online. That's what I got from Harry Potter. I didn't get much from Twilight. HP isn't my favorite book, and I do like vampires. But if you want to read a good book about vampires, you should poke around the shelves instead of reading a quizilla-story-like-book.

i have read both series. love them both. i grew up reading harry potter and loving it, but i think twilight beat it. it's my new favorite book. it was my 2nd vampire book and it was amazing. by the way, liljasigirl, harry potter fans aren't low life. if you are obsessed with vampires it's jus the same with harry potter fans obsessed with wizards. so basically u just insulted yourself. smart. they will both be great movies hopefully!

Harry Potter is coming next summer, and I'm glad that Twilight is coming earlier. Nothing can take the Twilight's book from my NR 1. list of books ;)
