Thank you for giving us what we couldn't access before.
I thought WA had disappeared before I could see them
Was wonderful discover there are two groups. I have my favourite, probably because I love Martin's voice. So good to see them:)
"Now I know your years were never wasted,
Tonight I saw the magic in your eyes."
Do go to see Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash - and WA with Andy too -
Still brilliant musicians :)

Thanks wishbonemusic, I knew Teds influence was there somewhere. I never really got into WA after he left. L Wisefield just didnt push the boat out for me, unlike Andy P, Mr Wisefield just didnt finish his riffs on that killer note! You see Red was quite good though

I went to see WA live twice during the 70's (Coventry, Bristol) and yes when Ted Turner left we all thought it would fall apart but for me Laurie carried on helping the band produce the quality that we were accustomed to for me it was only when Laurie left that it all went "downhill".
I met a guy a coupla years ago that was in the same school class as Laurie and talks about him with much admiration.

Saw Laurie in a band called Home before he joined Wishbone Ash, never found any videos of them which is a shame as I have the albums. Anyone seen or heard of anything on them?

If you are a Laurie fan check out youtube search keyword Wisefield. Some awesome "Night of the Guitars" vids featuring Laurie,Trower,Powell,Ted Turner,Montrose, etc. Also Limewire (shareware)has Home albums available for download for those who don't have them.Although I do enjoy them I find the Home albums a little too "soft" for my taste, but hey, thats just my opinion.

there is no emotion in the Satriani's guitar playing, so don't associate them.

Satrani no emotion? A million or so Satriani fans would disagree with you there leleman2. Satriani songs like into the light, always with me always with you, love thing, summer song, crying, you saved my life and many others are to my ears loaded with beautiful emotion. But I won't argue or fight about it. each to their own preference. Share and enjoy!
I enjoy all sincere and tuneful guitar music including Wishbone Ash, Shadows, Hendrix, Satriani, Vai, and many others. Kind regards.

Where is punk now? It went back down the old dirty pipe it overflowed out of... sorry but punk isn't really music. It's been around as long as the electric guitar... it's called not having much talent. Punk was created to get people to listen to people who couldn't play guitar or sing very well.
