first of all there where no samurais outside japan . they won the battle because the japanese army had no food supplies due to korean ships destroying their supply ships
that weakened their army already and korea had the advantage of a high hill (very important), Ditches, Wooden pikes, Palisade walls and Hwaches which where implemented on
the fortress wall,
The Daimyo(s) of the era this took place wheren't great neither (Ukita Hideie and
Kato Kiyoshimasa)

arriving at Haengju at dawn, Ukita divided
his force into 3 groups and surrounded the
fortress knowing that they would crush the koreans solely with numbers, Kato and Ukita
ordered the japanese to attack by simple advancing up the lopes of Haengju. the japanese launcher their attack with little overall plan.

While the Japanese soldiers struggled to breach the wooden paliside walls and fences, the Koreans fired arrows, arquebuses, mortars, boulders, threw tree trunks, and used hwachas effectively from the Haengju armory. Although the Japanese overran the first line of defense, they failed to break through further defenses. A total of nine repeated attacks were made by the Japanese.
After failing to breach the Korean lines after 9 attacks, Kato ordered a retreat. Ukita and Kato were both wounded.

They lost this battle because korean had BIG advantage and the Japanese daimyo's underestimated the koreans and had bad plannings

"The dream ended in 1598."
the dream ended in 1598 it's like you'r life ended in 1598 lol idiot.
Korea under Japanese rule refers to the period between 1910 and 1945 when Korea was forcibly occupied by the Japanese Empire.
Beginning in the 1870s, Japan began to force Korea to move out of China's sphere of influence into its own
The invasion of Manchuria
you know what I'm not even going to continue because than I'm still bussy next year with the victories over China and Korea
Japanazi losers... ...( 1 week ago by cpclub21)
Japanazi losers...you Japs yourselves don't even have a consensus on any issue or fact. For the same battles I mentioned here, some Japs say that there were samurais (which is true) but lost the battles becasue of the help from China (which was not the case), other Japs say there were no samurais involved (which is not true).
Go study your own history first, losers...
