my guess as an uneducated person in classical music, that he played them as they were in the process of creation, so therefore he most certainly could have performed them, but as the title suggests it is a trio, so i would think more than one person would be playing the piece, thus the different colors in the animation? nice run on sentence :)

a trio sonata is simply a musical form not necessarily a trio in the sense of 3 musicians but 3 voices. this is supposed to be played by one person on the organ. though it could easily be transcribed for 3 instruments.

well yea
i dont know how to explain it im not an organ player but i think when you press a lower octive on the organ its plays a higher octive as well you kinda get the picture?
