I got a gift card to Wal-Mart for my b-day, so I was browsing around the store when we were grocery shopping and saw this movie.
I immediately proceeded to freak out, hyperventilate, and attempt a tap dance o' joy in the middle of a crowded hallway. I'm pretty sure that everyone in that store now thinks I'm completely nuts. I don't mind- they're not the ones who can watch Fred and Rita's amazingness every night. 8D

At the begining of the clip when Robert Benchly is shifting in his seat, his attitude and facial expressions remind me of my duck -- ridiculous, fussy, and self absorbed. That fellow was a hoot. He had a great scene in another of Freddie's movies (The Sky's the Limit) where he completely fumbled a presentation. It was quite a laugh.

The girl sitting next to Benchley at the top of this clip is Osa Masson, who was married to Allan Hersholt (son of the famous actor, Jean Hersholt) who was later President of The Masquers Club and also our neighbor in Beverly Hills when I was a child. There was no-one in the business Allan didn't seem to know and he used to regale me with "inside" stories when I was a child! Meeting Mr. Astaire was also one of the great thrills of my life.
