yes, i know exactly what im tlakin about and the whole emo scene, i like many old stuff from emo from embrace, rites of spring, old glassjaw, and sunny day real estate and it rooted from the washngton dc hardcore punk scene where they fused hardcore punk and indie like sounds. the ian from embrace also is one who pioneered hardcore punk with minor threat, i love that band, but i have to say rites of spring is the best emo band and it's real pioneer. they came out in the 1986. im no poser

And why bands hate the term now, I really don't understand. If I was in a band, placing myself under the same banner as SDRE, Rites of Spring, Glassjaw, Fugazi, and my favorite Texas is the Reason.
