I think as wing chun (referring to yip man lineage)has spread different teachers have incorporated some of their own things into the style but if you watch footage of yip man doing forms then you won't see any high kicks.

Sorry to make light of this, but Yip Man was days from dying when those forms where filmed, so the van damme helicopter kicks were out!. Only playing! The principles of wing chun would frown on high/flying/spinning kicks in terms of economy. It would be like crouching down to punch someone's foot.

mixing aspects of wing chun with alot of muay thai, but extremely little wing chun. good for mma fights but can hardly be called wing by itself. might be effective if it weren't for all the opening's around/under his belt. looks good though, good form. reguarding the kicks though, they could use some more work on the forms.

Daryl / its tradition in WT not to kick higher than the hips. "we don't kick higher than nessesary" but this video also show mixed fighting, wich is great. never limit yourself to one system.
