I'm pretty sure that nobody from this band played on Ice Cream for Crow or Doc at the Radar Station. Drumbo (John French), Rockette Morton(Mark Boston), Ed Marimba (Art Tripp) and Zoot Horn Rollo (Bill Harkleroad) left in '74 to form Mallard. Winged Eel Fingerling (Elliot Ingber) left after recording the Bluejeans and Moonbeams album.

Good for you! Get all of his stuff and listen to it. You'll be listening to it for the rest of your life... like we who were going to see him live in the 60s. He was way way out there... but, it is a tribute to his music and creativity that young people like you dig it as much as we did 40 years ago. Somehow though it doesn't sound as radical as it did in the 60s. Get ALL his music. You won't regret it.

In one way it's good actually [music that gets TOO commercial is going to suck] , on the other hand, people might throw rap, R&B and newschool hiphop with a ball of lead into the ocean. :D
Seriously, after I listened the Icecream for Crow album, I was depressed all day that was the last Beefheart album ever! :'(
