Plus, I never said he sucked really bad. I just said he was just average. He's not bad, but he's way overrated. Look up Buddy Rich, Mike Portnoy, Joey Jordison, Dave Lombardo, Neil Peart, etc. They are way better than Travis Barker.

If you actuallyy look at how travis's drumming career started off. It's actully quite technical. his heroes of dumming being some of those you mention below.
He idolized, People like DaveWeckl and learned Their techniques.
He's a very technical drummer.
Check his jazz projects not justtt punk solos.
Traviss is a good drummer.

He was a student of the San Fransisco Orchestra, he is VERY technical and if you watched studio clips of him you would know by the way he analyzes what he hears. Just because he grew up in san diego and fell in love with punk music doesn't mean is isn't beyond talented. It means the music he chose doesn't always show his wide variety of drumming....only one dimension of it.
