The scene before the Xavier game and after the Morehead State game featuring Matthew McConaughey acting as head coach Jack Lengyl. This was shown during half-time of the Marshall-UCF game. McConaughey and McG, who were present during this feature, give a speech about the movie in another clip in my collection. Sorry about the shakiness. I was sitting about 150 yards away at a lower level seat with a Canon Powershot digital camera.

This is such a moving speech, you have to be made of stone to not feel remorse over this. The heart and pride of Marshall astounds me, I've seen few universities with the passion the Thundering Herd have. Much respect to Marshall, you are truly inspiring. And as a Jets fan, I thank you for Chad Pennington as well.:)

idk man that was good, but this hits you on a greater level, this is life and death, a real emotional level imo..race is tough also..but i think when ur dealing with this kinda story, this 1 wins...

This is one of my favorite scenes-maybe my favorite. There's 3- The opening, when they go to Morganhole (I'm sorry-Morgantown)and Bowden has put the green crosses on WVU's helmets and this one. Say what you will about Bowden, but not now, not then - would many coaches do what he did. He'll be endeared to my heart forever.

Badmouthing the airline isn't needed. It was a different time, with different rules and regulations. From what I understand the airline had little experience flying into that airport- and then under those conditions...

Rob, when are you guys going to learn there isn't anything wrong with expressing sincere emotion? There would be something wrong if they didn't tear up or cry about something sad. This Marshall tragedy is as sad as it gets. It also shows the human spirit and what we're capable of when we really want something. This town fought and got back it's football team. I don't know why things like this happen, it's part of life. We as survivors have to get through it and Marshall did it in style.

Did you not happen to read the part of the scoreboard where it says "Marshall" with the number "9" under it and the football lit up next to it indictating they have posession of the football?
