Saw gene 45 years ago at colston hall bristol.He sang between the seats. He could not sing on the stage due to equity union rules.He was fabulous.And was limping from the accident.

The guitarist is Johnny Meeks; he's less country more R&R than Gallup. Those "clapper boys" are amazing. Somebody should reissue the EP "Hot Rod Gang" with its great cover and four great songs.

It's a trip seeing the late great Paul Peek (to the right of Gene). When I was in the USMC, we used to got to Jacksonville to see Paul Peek and the Peekaboos. That was back around 1962. He put alot into those few minutes he had on camera! Great guy too.
