Well, I would give if I could....problem is, I'm a poor college student without a job, and I've not no money to give! But yes, I have given to charity in the past when I had extra cash (and I have done some volunteer work as well). Also, please don't use language like "self-righteous liar", especially when you don't know someone. It's mean-sprited, rude, all-around unfriendly, and creates a negative atmosphere.

Yeah, I know, I drifted off-topic (I thank you for setting me straight)! It just drives me nuts about how people spend so much on "stuff", and then complain that they don't have money (I know, that's not what the video is about....but the overconsumption of "stuff" negatively affects everything, be it the environment or our own financial situations).

I love "The Story of Stuff". A wonderful video series! I think it should be mandatory for every person on the planet to see this series. It's wonderful. I have thought about all this stuff since I was four years old. I was a worried little child. I was worried that we would run out of space to store all the garbage. As an adult, I am not worth anything to our government. I consume as little as possible. I despise the "throw away" mentality of the greedy. I recycle and shop at second hand stores.

We don't live longer because of medications, rather we live longer because we have access to a larger variety of food staple in our diet - fruits and vegetables. Only less than 50 years ago you'd never see the colours of the rainbow in your produce dept. as you do now. We are getting an assortment of vitamins like never before. More people die from medications, a year, than any other reason, toxic ingredients, OD, doctor/patient error but this is another topic...

Did it take 10 years for her to find out? With some simple google search you will know more in a few minutes or hours. Now the question is if there exist any alternative/free energy sources, health care, chemicals etc, why are we not using them? The answer is simple cause you can only make money with patents & copyright. We spend more money in prisons then education! and most of money go to wars! So if we don
