I use my flip ultra for photos ALL the time. I just take little one second clips and turn them into photos on the mac ,and they look GREAT. I have more pictures on facebook then any of my friends XD

Good comparison. I think the image on the old one looked better. The ultra appeared washed out. Have you noticed the same affect when when filming outdoors?
