You do not understand my statement correctly, nor do I harbor major or minor misconceptions about where Dr. Paul stands on economic issues, and I seriously suggest that YOU check out what he is saying. I acknowledge his opposition to the Federal Reserve Board (please see above) but the main point is that he opposes a public federal Bank, which is what the founders supported. They promoted a federal government role for promoting the general welfare; Ron Paul does not.

Congressional powers- Section 8 (which Ron Paul has invoked repeatedly): To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures.

The founders of our republic understood that it was not enough to locate with congress the right to coin money and regulate its value -- congress could not do that without a bank, which is why the founders (under the leadership of Alexander Hamilton and other Federalists -- a tradition that Ron Paul explicitly rejects) established the First Federal Bank, which could not be owned by private bankers.

Without a national (public) bank it would be impossible for congress to regulate the value of currency. We have had two truly national banks in the approximately 200 year history of the US. etenol is a joke do the research It has worse emissions than gosoline, it gets less fuel mileage, it is bad for seals and valve in your engine, gives less horse power, and worst of all will take up too much of our produce. Too many farmers will have to grow corn for the fuel supply and that will raise the prices of corn products. I would suggest you avoid puting ethenol in your vehicle. Honda and their new fuel cell vehicle is a great alternative though not availabe everywhere.

hey I am all for getting rid of our oil dependancy. It is rediculous, but ethanol is just a chance for the government to control the food supply. There are plenty of great alternatives to oil, unfortunately when they come out the oilo comapanies either buy out the patent or the inventors dissapear along with their inventions. I think honda is taking a bold step. Sadly fuel cell cars are only usable in southern california at the time being.
