IN THIS VIDEO, watch as the Thunderbirds fly their high show at McGuire AFB. I did record the ground show, but because of people who were around me, the footage turned out terrible (you'd have to listen to the background to understand). I did have people fist-pumping DURING the Thunderbirds' per
formance... I guess the people to my left were either drunk , from North Jersey, from the New York metro area, or a combination of all that. It made me sick. Also keep in mind that the Thunderbirds had a little delay in the show because Major Weeks had a radar altimeter problem, but it was deemed

If you're not from NJ/NY then I understand asking... fist pumping is such that you've got people between 18-24 (probably younger and older) who raise their fists in the air to "good music" (usually techno/dance or anything that makes them wanna raise a clenched fist in the air) in bars and clubs. It's only a NY metro area influence and how that got down to McGuire/South Jersey is beyond me...

One jet was a VFA-106 jet and the other was from VFA-11. Crack explained to me that it had to do with fleet logistics... the Red Rippers were at home and they didn't need all of their jets for workups, so 106 decided to include one of their jets in the demo team rotation. It was merely to spread the stress equally on the fleet, since AD-216, AD-217, and AD-232 (all VFA-106 jets) had been flying demos for the last two years.

They still do, I've only seen them take off together twice.
One year at the March ARB show (probably 5 years ago) the entire team took off one at a time. It was strange, but it was also cool because you got to enjoy a full solid minute of burner one after the other.

I like the thunderbirds better than the blue angels but i like them both also. the blues' sneak is about .95 mach. but the thunderbirds go all the way to .98 mach and undetected
