I think that was probably one of his most emotional performances of Nessun Dorma I have heard.Whether he knew it was going to be his last performance I dont know but it sounded like it was his final emotional farewell of Nessun Dorma before his illness finally got the better of this great singer and great human being.The likes of his unique voice may never be heard again. There may be singers that come and go but Pavarotti will taking alot of beating in terms of his amazing voice and personality

spaceball1one and others, it was stated in a book released in 2008 written by the conductor of this performance that this was prerecorded. It is also documented in wikipedia (which is not always accurate I will admit). This is where some of the posters got their information. There are newspaper articles that also mention this. Whether pre-recorded or not it was a wonderful moment.

@findus, es Streitet niemand ab das Paul Pott gut ist. Aber niemand kommt an Pavarotti ran & dass hat auch einen Grund & zwar seine Popularit
ät & seinen Weg den er gegangen ist usw. Zeichnen ihn aus & nicht nur seine Musik oder sogar sein Aussehen.
Überdenke mal deinen Kommentar bevor du jemanden Beleidigst der nicht nur Musikalisch sondern auch für die Welt viel getan hat (Benefizit Konzerte usw.). Echt Peinlich das ein Deutscher sowas gepostet hat.

ügen, und spricht mir völlig aus der Seele. Genauso mein ich das auch...Pavarotti ist nun mal eine andere Liga, und von daher sollte man sich ganz gut überlegen, WEN man sich als "Vorlage" nimmt, um einen "Gesangswettbewerb" zu gewinnen oder ähnliches....in diesem Sinne...
