man, you got personal fast. don't be offended if i have a different opinion about the city than you. i am native to new york, too. i wasn't around for much of guiliani new york, but it is still worth going to. what you talk about with the gentrification is very true, but it is only certain parts of the city that have become yuppified. there are still loads of places worth going to that have authentic, real people and real businesses. it is troubling, though, i mean look at coney island.
