Jim Carrey calls for people to support the world's only imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi. He also decries Burma's military regime for recruiting more child soldiers than any other country in the world, destroying 3,000 villages in eastern Burma, and forcing 1.5 million refugees to flee. He appeals to viewers to join two organizations:

The military junta of Myanmar are not dog or pig, nor are they hound. They are SATAN. No one is his or her right mind would want to see people suffer while they themselves have it all, in this case way more than they really need. They might escape to another countries but just wait till the judgment day. They would be doomed in hell forever.

Good on ya Jimmy, There is a big group of people here in Scarborough that say even in your youth you were a top class kind of guy. This video just goes to prove it! I have been to the aerea and the general population of the region are the kindest people I have ever seen. Like YOU Jim. Give to the cause everyone, it is well worthy and money better spent than many other causes. Here is to you Jim, and here is to your Canadian personality and Aung San Suu Kyi.

You shouldn't forget that the Myanmese (Burmese) military regime is killing of all 'enemies' to themselves which also means that those who were in previous contact of U.S. citizens and military personnel are dead or being killed. Also some of my friends I made there. They should be stopped but we don't and that is our flaw

Why can't the world, UN, NATO, ASEAN do something about Burma? Than Shwe is worst than Saddam. He's just like Hitler or Pol Pot.
With ethnic cleansing of Karen tribe and mismanagement of their own people, it's time for international intervention. Just like what NATO did in Kosavo.
Burma is also world biggest drugs exporter. They use drugs money to by weapons to kill their own people. Enough is enough it's time to remove the military junta from power.

The UN have done nothing to help the people of Burma. We need to keep putting pressure on them to actually stand up for human rights for once, and not just try to appease an undemocratic, brutal regime.

Because NATO is a figure head for the US military backed by its allies. NATO will never engage in a conflict unless there is somthing to gain from it(ie.oil). If it was the case that NATO did act in accordance to its mandate, it would be in places such as Darfur or Sri Lankia. crosboid got it spot on11
