Personnel:
Vox - John Lydon
Guitar - John McGeoch
Guitar / Various - Lu Edmonds
Bass - Alan Dias
Drums - Bruce Smith
This was the first release from the 'new' PiL. A line up which would last in various forms for another five years. 'Seattle' was written on tour while the band were in Seattle, apparently inspired by how boring the town was.
Quotes:
Seattle is unusual, in that we recorded it on tour, when we had some days off. The days off were in Seattle. Clever huh?
- John Lydon, 'Plastic Box' sleevenotes 1999

There's nobody like John Lydon. Such a unique "character" with such a unique voice. Very good songs, too.

You don't need to worry, I saw him live in Brixton Academy last November and he hasn't changed, still calling the audience a bunch of old sods and wankers :) and still (if not more so) angry. The man's a God.

I wonder if it has something to do with this found on line: Green River supporting---
"??/??/86 The Paramount Theater. Seattle, WA
Supporting: Public Image Ltd.
Notes: This show happened in late 1986. As Green River is finishing their set, Mark tells the audience, "Stick around if you want to see what a real sellout looks like." After their set, the guys steal PiL frontman Johnny Rotten's easy chair while Andy Wood takes all of his wine."

Also, Mark Arm (I think he was wearing a tutu) actually said, "If you want to know what it's like to become what you hated, ask the next band."

Anyway, this is a weird story because I wonder who was wearing the tutu who said that about P.I.L. ? I remember him as having black hair. Maybe Mark Arm had black hair for awhile- but I know Andy Wood was'nt in Green River. Who knows? I always loved P.I.L. though. They have their own sound and will always be classic, also not afraid to sound good! That's probably why people felt let down- hehe.

Yeah, Ltd.
The tour for their album called "Album" and
"Cassette Tape" respectively, had authorized
concert t-shirts that said, "Concert T-shirt" on them- that was great!
