One of the best tracks ever recorded - cool, smooth, upbeat, fun perfection. I never tire of this one; it makes me want to go back in time to a USO club and dance with a cute sailor. Love the low little bluesy section that begins around 1:27, and then the way he goes back up before the band really comes back in. And the climax: the high-pitched bleats around 2:54 and then the spine tingling climb up the scale around 3:00. Eeeee!

It's amazing how timeless music can be. I'm a teenage punk rocker and time and time again am inspired by Artie Shaw. His playing motivates me to put all I have into my clarinet (despite however much it contradicts what most would think of a punk rock fan like myself). But hey I enjoy defying stereotypes if the music's sweet.
